In a mix of optimism and pessimism, between the realms of pop art and surrealism, I grapple with humans in their environment.

The origin of my works is found in my audio-visual experiences, such as films, photos, reports, words, music and dreams. My images emerge from the selection and combination of precisely these perceptions. This includes tragedy, comedy, assent and revolt as well as the seemingly banal and outlandish.

My snapshots are always also testimonials from my own internal quarry, on which bodies, lines and surfaces of imaginary dream worlds are depicted. I blend dream and reality, while I merge ostensible contradictions. Every ever-so inconspicuous detail becomes a fuse or umbilical cord.

The incredible diversity of impressions in this connection repeatedly allows new things to arise, and because the entirety cannot be depicted, there is still much to assert.
